Louis XVI Game Table (Card Table)

#7869FP. Circa 1780. France, probably Paris. Mahogany with brass trim and French oak secondary wood - leather with 24k gold border - French polish. This wonderful game table is a Louis XVI classic design with original ormolu trim, reeded legs and a hidden back drawer(great place for cards or secret love letters). The flip side of the top (playing surface) had the rotten remains of old gaming baize on it, which we have replaced with green leather with hand-done gold border.
