#4548FP. Circa 1810. Philadelphia. Mahogany and mahogany veneer with burled elm inlay - original brass. This exceptional Philadelphia games table was the product of a master cabinetmaker - the burled elm inlay is highly unusual - when opened, the top spins to initially reveal an inner compartment and folds out to lie flat in card-table dimensions (as shown in one of the accompanying photos). Condition: excellent - minor old and new repairs - restored original French polish - one brass lyre string replaced by us - age crack on the inside of one leaf stabilized and obscured by us. 36" wide x 29.5" tall x 16" deep (33" deep when opened out). $9,800.00.
