#9540PB. Circa: 1835. London. This spectacular and imposing convex mirror is a rare find! Gold leaf and gilt on gesso on wood. It has a reeded and ebonized bezel framing the convex looking glass. Most notably, the frame is comprised of a pierced foliate ring. That in turn is surrounded by a coved outer ring with spherules. The mirror is topped by an eagle perched atop a plinth surrounded by foliate embellishments. More foliate embellishments provide balance at the base of the mirror. Restored by our professional gilder. 56" Tall x 31" Wide. $9,500.00.
