Queen Ann Revolving Birdcage Tip Top Table

#9535FP. Circa 1760. New England. This Georgian-inspired American mahogany table was probably made in Boston. All the hardware appears to be hand cast and original, including the bottom brace. Old French polish. Appropriate shrinkage on single board top (27.75" diameter across the grain, 28.25" with the grain). Finely-turned spiral urn on pedestal, and a "bird cage" which enables table to revolve. Good wear on bottom of pad feet. Excellent condition - this table has been well cared for thru the years and has an excellent patina. 27" tall x 28.25" diameter. $800.00.
